| Frequently Asked
Questions
Is NTT a college organization?
NTT was originally founded by a small group of undergraduate college
students, most of whom attended UCLA. However, it was never founded
with the intention of being a college organization. Some of the
members are currently undergraduates but many others are in graduate
school or are working professionals. Once in a while, NTT does make
productions for college audiences.
Does NTT only make comedies?
Although the majority of NTT films are currently comedies, we do
not restrict ourselves to that genre. We only began making comedic
films because that was what our first venues called for. We are,
in fact, currently working to produce more non-comedic films.
Does NTT only make films about and for Korean Americans? What
about Asian Americans?
Many of our completed films deal with Korean American issues and
have mostly Korean American casts, but we do not restrict ourselves
to that. We are striving to make more films that appeal to larger,
more diverse audiences, and if those films call for just Asians,
we may cast a non-Korean person. If they call for non-Asians, we
will cast non-Asians.
Does NTT make films just for fun?
Some of our members may be involved mainly to be part of the fun
aspect of production, but others are working to develop their professional
careers. As stated in the “About”
section of our web site, we are working to give actors and filmmakers
experience and to make an impact in the film industry.
What should I do if I just want to be cast in NTT films?
NTT maintains a casting list which a production will use to send
out casting calls for auditions, if necessary. The casting list
is separate from NTT membership. There is no fee for being added
to the casting list. If you would like to be notified of casting calls for future productions, please join our mailing list by sending a blank e-mail to nttcasting-subscribe@yahoogroups.com or by going to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nttcasting. If you'd like to send us your headshot and resume, please e-mail them to .
